Prairie Women's Sewing Circle Club

Prairie Women's Sewing Circle

You are invited to join a unique, monthly club that will take you on a journey back in time. Gather together as the Prairie Women did, and hear anecdotal stories about their quiltmaking, and what daily life was like for those who traveled by wagon train on the Oregon Trail, to the lives of quilters during the Civil War, and the years of women's suffrage for equal rights. Not only will you learn how our quilting ancestors created quilts by "Making Do" with what they had, you will be invited to do so yourself!!! Monthly meetings and Bi-monthly patterns and other surprises will be offered exclusively to PWSC club members only. Sign up today to attend the next gathering of the Prairie Women's Sewing Circle. Many of these projects are made with 1800's reproduction era fabrics in mind, but any fabrics can be used. Now is the time to dig deep into your stash and use what you already have! After all, that is what the prairie women did, they simply used what they had and MADE -DO !

Cost is only $35 for all year.

Various class times will be offered , in order to work around everybody's busy schedules. I realize ours lives are so busy and hectic, compared to our ancestors, so we want to help you slow down and step back into time, even if it is only for a few hours a month. Our gatherings will be very relaxed and laid back, no stress or deadlines to meet. We just want to gather with friends, visit ,stitch, and share some fellowship. If for some reason, you are interested in the club but unable to make it to our gatherings, you will still be able to participate by joining and working on your own at home at your own pace.

Meetings are scheduled for the:

1st Monday of each month from 9am -noon ( Oct. 4th) or
3rd Thursday from 6:30- 9:30pm (Oct, 21) or
4th Saturday from 9am-noon. (Oct. 23)

If you have any questions, or are interested in signing up for a spot in the club,
please call or email Melissa at Primitive Stitches
