My grandmother passed away and her visitation and funeral is Thurs./Fri.

 So we will be with family in Kansas City. Shop will be open on Saturday . Thank you for your understanding

***UPDATE for Those Interested in The ENGLISH PAPER PIECING CLUB- 

There has been an overwhelming response of those who are wanting to come sew and socialize !  YIPPIE .We are going to have a blast. Although I have  had several people REQUESTING A SATURDAY MORNING TIME SLOT OPTION for those who  work or might travel alittle ways to get here. SO I am also Setting up The 4th SATURDAY of the every MONTH at 10am  as an new time slot. for those that are interested ,please let me know if you wish to sign up, or those if you already signed up and wish to change your day,that is fine also

.I have had a  large number of people that are wanting the Thursday morning group, so if any of them are willing to trade over to Saturday that would be great. If not, we can always split the Thursday morning group, into two different Thursdays,if needed.

Every 3rd Thursday of each month

No cost to you, just fun and fellowship ! Bring a English Paper Piecing (EPP) project that your working on, or want advice on how to get started on one.. We can share ideas, swap fabrics if you wish, offer support or advice to others, and learn new techniques using EPP!

2 times will be offered that day , so that you can pick one that works best for you…
Morning Group starts at 10am- ?
Evening Group starts at 6:30pm-?

We will be starting this in August, so if your interested ,please let me know and which time slot you are interested in ,so I can plan for you (depending on the response)

English Paper Piecing 

English Paper Piecing, the creation of a quilt block or entire quilt using fabric wrapped and basted around paper pieces or shapes. Since fabric is "wrapped" around the paper cut to the exact size, precision in piecing is  very accurate. Once pieces are basted, then they are simply whip stitched together. The technique works well with traditional or modern fabrics, giving all quilters a useful technique for hand piecing.

No specialty items are required to use this hand piecing technique. Fabric scraps or pieces, needle, thread, and simple paper patterns are all of the materials that are needed.

English paper piecing is a quilting technique that has been used for many years. The growth of its popularity in recent years might be attributed to several things: you can achieve great precision using the technique, Plus this is so handy because it is portable, allowing you to take all of your supplies in a small container to work on nearly anywhere; and the process of handwork can be a very relaxing pastime.

Quilt Show at the Olde Glory days in Clinton Missouri

 3 vendors on site for some shopping. Fun filled day , Come join us .

Gone to Quilt Show in Wichita Kansas -

Just a quick note to let you all know that Primitive Stitches Quilt Shop will be closed all week.( I will re-open on July 1st)
I will be going to be a vendor at the Common Threads Quilt Show in Wichita Kansas.
I am really excited about this, it is a really big show, they has usually around 3,000 people come thru the door , over a 3 day show. and about 40-50 vendors.

Primitive Stitches Quilt Shop will be closed today June 6th -we will be spending the day with family ,celebrating our daughter's 21st Birthday, thanks for understanding, after all it only happens once in a lifetime ( unless you lie about your age, lol )

Shop Clsed Sat. May 17th for Graduation Day !

Primitive Stitches Quilt and Stitchery Shop will be close this Saturday May 17th for the day. Our youngest Daughter Molly is graduating from Warrensburg High School.

 We will be spending the day celebrating her achievements with family. I appreciate your understanding. We don't want to miss any of these precious moments..... time slips by way to quickly !

Shop will open again on Tuesday.
